For me, I wonder in this case, is it that I thought I was entering something much more liturgicaly and practically orthodox than I actually was, i.e. "Waltherian" voters' assembly, non-clerical, "missional" un-churchly nonsense. It's a bit of both - an objective breakdown of the church body, rapidly accelerating in the years I've been a part of it, and my own naivete in thinking it ever truly was an ecclesial catholicity.
